Dallas, Texas - Downtown Dallas Condos and Lofts

Considered to be one of the largest cities in the beautiful state of Texas, Dallas is the economic and cultural center of the Dallas-Arlington and Fort Worth metropolitan area. Most residents of the Lakewood and Casa Linda Estates enjoy the recreational activities offered by the parks surrounding these lakes. The western region of Dallas slightly rises and quite noticeable. This area is where the Oak Cliff neighborhood can be found, adjacent to the cities of Cedar Hill, Irving, Grand Prairie and Cockrell Hill.

The Dallas skyline is simply breathtaking. The city boasts of numerous buildings, each sporting different architectural designs that range from modern to Victorian to neoclassical. Among the most notable buildings are the Bank of America Plaza, Chase Center, Renaissance Tower and the Fountain Place. Annually, Dallas celebrates the well-attended State Fair of Texas. This event actually brings an approximately $350 million each year to the economy. Also celebrated are the festivals of the Cinco de Mayo, Saint Patrick’s Day, Juneteenth, Greek Food Festival of Dallas and the Halloween Parade.

The city is also home to many excellent schools. In fact, Dallas is home to several colleges, universities and trade schools including the University of Texas at Dallas and the Southern Methodist University. There are several public and private primary and secondary schools, all boasting of excellent educational programs. In fact, the School for the Gifted and Talented was even named by the magazine, Newsweek as the best school in the nation.

In addition to great schools, Dallas also offers one of the best health systems in the state. It is home to medical research facilities such as the UT Southwestern Medical Center, which comprise of Children’s Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital. Other hospitals include the Medical City Dallas Hospital, Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the Central Methodist Hospital.

Dallas Neighborhoods

The many opportunities offered by the amazing city of Dallas have resulted to a great demand for real estate properties. These residential homes are strategically-located in eclectic, vibrant and thriving neighborhoods. The major neighborhoods in this city include the Downtown, Uptown and Lake Highlands.

The Downtown Dallas is famous for its Arts District, Farmers Market District, West End Historic District, Main Street District, Reunion District, Victory Park, Convention Center District and the City Center business district. There are also great neighborhoods in East Dallas including the very chic Deep Ellum, Belmont and Bryan Place. On the other hand, the Uptown area is where the communities of LoMac, Cityplace and West Village lie. The neighborhood of Lake Highlands is connected to East Dallas but more socially-close to North Dallas. Communities that are situated in this are include Hamilton Park, Highland Meadows and Old Lake Highlands.
