Uptown Houston

Uptown / Galleria District of Houston is located at the heart of Post Oak Boulevard and the Westheimer Road.  It is considered to be the city’s hotel and fashion district, equally beautiful as Los Angeles’ Beverly Hills and San Francisco’s Union Square. Uptown Houston is the second largest business district and also prides itself for a beautiful skyline.

It is considered to be the largest shopping center in Texas and is home to Macy’s Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. The Galleria Shopping District, as it is known collectively, also houses other shopping centers beside the galleria including the Uptown Collection, Highland Village and the Fashion Center. To complete the complex, there are over 50 restaurants, specialty food stores and a full-sized ice rink.

For a different shopping experience; head over to the Uptown Park, a shopping destination with a unique European appeal. Tourists can leisurely walk along the stone walkways, which are accented by lush-green landscapes as well as classy lampposts. Stores located in this area include Ann Taylor, Fitgues, Naturino, Lucho, Top Drawer Lingerie, M Penner and Veneoto Collection. After a day of shopping, visitors can relax at any of the many stylish restaurants and casual cafes.

Between Fondren and Gessner roads and along Harwin Drive, local residents enjoy great discount deals on perfumes, luggage, jewelry and purses. This relatively smaller shopping district is lined with shops brimming with wholesale items. Residents and visitors will surely enjoy a one-of-a-kind shopping experience, which is easy on the pocket.
